Truss
During BU ME 301 I worked in a group of 3 to stress test and design a truss to hold the maximum load under specific member constraints. Safety tests were simulated using Matlab code to determine critical members. This was extremely necessary to understand which members were the weakest and which changes could be made to improve the design. Once a final design was produced, the truss was then cut from strips of plastic and extremely carefully taped together. The truss was tested and held a maximum load of 52oz.
